Meeting Refreshments:  Next month refreshments will be provided by Steve Kranz (looking for a volunteer to help Steve).

Newsletter (Paul and Marilyn Duncan):  The May-June issue of the “Enchanted Flyer” will be out this weekend.  The cover photo and several articles describe the Back to the Badlands Tour and uranium mining in the Grants area, with notes from the tour Art Gebeau conducted at the NM Mining Museum.  Also, Paul has reviewed a book by Eric Sloan describing a trip from New Jersey to Taos in a 1924 T.

Valencia High School Project (Paul Duncan):  Paul trailered the 1927 Touring back down to the campus.  The students have run it on campus.  Work is expected to continue with UNM students over the summer.

Historian (Marilyn Duncan):  Nothing to report.

Website (Sharon Dominguez):  All activities are up to date, except for the Corrales Tractor Show.   Larry Azevedo described an activity at the Tractor Show that almost got out of control.  A backhoe was outfitted with a sweep controlled by a joystick by which kids could propel a soccer ball through a hula hoop. Instead of playing with the joystick, one 5-year-old pressed a pedal, causing the machine to run away.

Fall Tour in Ruidoso (Ray Gabaldon):  Reserve your room!  September 10-13 (Wed-Sat.) with return on Sun.  MCM Elegante Lodge and Resort (contact: Katie Kmetz).  Ray will put out an email.  Respond by email if going.  Model As will do their own thing on tour.  We will get together with them for dinner and maybe car games.  We will use tour books prepared for last year’s cancelled Model A national tour.
