Meeting called to order 6:30 PM
Pledge of Allegiance recited
Correction to last month’s minutes: Angel Pena’s car is ’24 Coup not a Touring. Minutes approved as corrected.
Vice President: Paul Duncan reported he is in process of talking to city to provide a regular size flag for our meeting room.
Secretary report: Fran Gurule subbing for Dave Ferro. Nothing to report.
Treasurer: Marilyn Duncan reported raffle last month was $90.00, one new member and no expenses.
President: Mark Wing reported the passing of member Steve Kranz. He also reported cars for sale. Art Gebeau has two speedsters which are a blue boattail for 18K and a White Rajo head speedster for 18K. Betty Houston has a 1919 runabout originally asking 10K (call for new pricing 505-440-8297).
Committee Reports:
Car Council: Sharron Geilenfeldt reported there will be two Friday night car shows. See car Council flyer for more information.
Email: Kirk Peterson reported sending emails.
Telephone: Linda Riel reported calling 7 people.
Meeting refreshments: Linda Riel reported good until end of year.
T ‘n Vittles: Linda Riel reported breakfast at Vineyard had 5 cars and 11 people. Breakfast was good and many rides were given.
Next T ‘n Vittles will be at Hello Deli at Journal Center at 8:30 am.
Newsletter: Paul Duncan reported the next newsletter will be out in August.
Valencia HS program: Paul Duncan reported nothing new but will be talking to Tim Heer and others soon.
Historian: Marilyn Duncan had nothing to report.
Librarian: Mark Dominguez reported Library temporarily moving to Mark Wing’s shop.
Website: Sharon Dominguez reported everything posted and up to date.
Hospitality: Fran Gurule reported sent cards to: Mark Reinwald & Mary Robinson (Welcome Letter). Bob & Crystal Wightman (Welcome Letter). Allison Berglund (Thinking of you). Family of Steve Kranz (Sympathy card).
Quartermaster: Larry Azevedo reported all accounted for. He purchased a coil and is planning on buying a portable coil tester.
Work parties: Larry Azevedo reported next work party scheduled for July 28, 2025, at 9 am.
Montana 500: Larry Azevedo gave a Power Point presentation on the race.
4th of July Parade/Picnic in Corrales hosted by Larry and Lorna Azevedo. Leave Azevedo house at 9am. If you plan to decorate your car come early. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided along with condiments. Everyone should bring a dish and chairs.
Santa Fe Opera: Larry and Lorna attended Opera La Boheme rehearsal for helping with model T prop and wheels.
Espanola 100-year parade canceled. Skip and Hedy may still try to be in parade.
Power Ford Labor Day Show will not be attended.
State Fair Car Show: will be Sunday Sept. 7, 2025. Mark Dominguez reported meet at 7:30am at Linn Ave. & California St. Show ends at 3PM. Park so you can get out.
Fall tour to Ruidoso: Ray Gabaldon reported the hotel is MCM Elegante 107 Sierra Blanca Dr. Ruidoso NM. Arrive September 10, depart September 14, 2025. Rooms are $149 for a double queen and $169 for a king. Make reservations.
LeMay Car Museum: Paul Duncan gave a PowerPoint presentation on Museum in Tacoma, WA.
Raffle held.
